Kumpir in Tangier: the stuffed baked potato, Vintage’s speciality
A big baked potato, opened and generously filled: that is a kumpir, and here are the four ways to enjoy it at Vintage, our speciality.

If you want a dish that truly fills you up, to share or to keep to yourself, the kumpir is a good answer. It is a large potato baked in the oven, opened in two and filled: the flesh is mixed with the filling, like a small dish of its own. It comes from Turkey, where it is sold in the street with many toppings.
The four kumpirs at Vintage
- Vegetarian kumpir. Potatoes stuffed with vegetables and cream: the choice without meat or fish.
- Mushroom kumpir. Stuffed with cream, chicken and mushrooms.
- Honey chicken kumpir. Stuffed with honey cream and chicken: sweet and savoury.
- Diabolo kumpir. Stuffed, with spicy tomato sauce and scampi: the hottest of the four.
Each kumpir can be picked on the online menu, with its photo and its price, before you even sit down. If you can’t decide, tap a dish: its page opens and you can slide on to the next one.

Which one to choose?
Without meat or fish: the vegetarian. Something sweet and indulgent: the honey chicken. Creamy and hearty: the mushroom. And for those who like heat: the diabolo. If you have an allergy or a special diet, ask the team before ordering.
Where and when to have one
Vintage is open every day from 7:30 am to 2:00 am, on the Corniche Malabata: a kumpir works at lunch as well as in the evening. The café has Wi-Fi, parking and a terrace.
